Position Summary

The Warehouse Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, and overseeing all warehouse operations to ensure efficient storage, inventory control, and timely distribution of materials, equipment, and supplies. The role ensures that warehouse activities are conducted in accordance with company policies, safety standards, and operational requirements. The Warehouse Manager will play a key role in maintaining accurate inventory records, optimizing warehouse processes, and supporting the overall efficiency of the organization.

Major Duties & Responsibilities

1. Warehouse Operations Management

  • Plan, organize, and supervise all warehouse activities.
  • Ensure efficient receipt, storage, handling, and dispatch of materials and equipment.
  • Maintain proper warehouse layout and storage systems to maximize space utilization.
  • Ensure adherence to safety, security, and housekeeping standards.

2. Inventory Management and Control

  • Establish and maintain effective inventory control systems.
  • Monitor stock levels and ensure timely replenishment of materials.
  • Conduct regular stock counts and reconcile inventory discrepancies.
  • Ensure accurate documentation and recordkeeping of all inventory transactions.

3. Materials Receiving and Dispatch

  • Oversee the receipt and inspection of incoming goods and verify quantities and quality.
  • Ensure timely issuance and dispatch of materials to projects and departments.
  • Coordinate with procurement, logistics, and project teams to meet operational requirements.
  • Maintain proper documentation for all incoming and outgoing materials.

4. Systems and Reporting

  • Develop and maintain warehouse records, reports, and inventory databases.
  • Prepare periodic inventory and warehouse performance reports.
  • Monitor key warehouse performance indicators and recommend improvements.
  • Ensure proper use of ERP systems and warehouse management tools.

 5. Compliance and Risk Management

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and applicable regulations.
  • Implement and maintain warehouse safety and security measures.
  • Investigate inventory losses and discrepancies and recommend corrective actions.
  • Ensure proper handling and storage of materials to prevent damage and wastage.

6. Team Leadership and Development

  • Lead and supervise warehouse personnel and storekeepers.
  • Provide training, guidance, and performance management to warehouse staff.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure effective workforce planning and resource allocation within the warehouse.

7. Coordination and Stakeholder Management

  • Liaise with procurement, logistics, finance, and project teams to ensure efficient supply chain operations.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and transporters for timely delivery of materials.
  • Support project teams by ensuring the availability and timely issuance of required materials.

About You

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Professional certification in Supply Chain Management or Logistics is an advantage.

Experience

  • Minimum of 8–15 years of progressive experience in warehouse and inventory management.
  • Experience managing warehouses supporting construction, engineering, or industrial operations is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory control systems, warehouse operations, and ERP systems.
  • Sound understanding of warehouse safety standards and best practices.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
