 Position Summary

The Concrete Boom Pump Operator at GS Group Uganda is responsible for operating, maintaining and managing of the machine. A concrete pump operator reports to Construction Foreman, Site Engineer or Equipment Supervisor.

Major Duties & Responsibilities

1. Equipment Operation

·       Operate truck mounted or stationary concrete pumps and managing the machine to ensure safe and efficient placement of concrete on the construction site

·       Setup prime and operate the pump according to the requirement

·       Control the pump output and boom placement to ensure accurate & efficient pouring

1. Safety Compliances

·       Follow all health, safety and environmental regulations on site

·       Conduct pre-operational checks & ensure safe pump setup & stability

·       Prevent hazard by monitoring hose lines, pressure levels & site condition during pumping

1. Maintenance and Care

·       Perform daily inspections, cleanness & basic maintenance pumping environment

·       Monitor oil, hydraulic and fuel levels, reporting any defect or service needs

·       Ensure equipment is stored, cleaned and secured after operation

1. Site Coordination

·       Work closely with the site engineer, foreman, & concrete truck drivers

·       Communicate with concrete placement crews to ensure proper concrete flow & placement

·       Support with hose holding & mange pump lines safely during pouring

 About You

Education & Experience

·       Proven work experience in the field of a minimum of 7years Plus..

·       Valid license for concrete pump operations.

·       Knowledge of concrete pumping techniques, equipment controls and safety practices.

·       Physical fitness & stamina to handle heavy hoses & work in varying conditions.

·       Good communication & teamwork skills.

·       Mechanical talent to troubleshooting minor issues
