Position Summary

The Senior Site Engineer is responsible for overseeing and managing construction activities on-site to ensure that projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and in accordance with engineering specifications, quality standards, and regulatory requirements. The role involves supervising site operations, coordinating with contractors and project teams, monitoring progress, and ensuring effective implementation of engineering designs and construction plans.

Major Duties & Responsibilities

1.      Site Management

·         Supervise and coordinate day-to-day construction site activities.

·         Ensure work is executed according to approved drawings, technical specifications, and project schedules.

·         Monitor site progress and ensure timely completion of project milestones.

·         Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers for efficient site operations.

2.      Technical Supervision

·         Review engineering drawings, designs, and project plans before execution.

·         Provide technical guidance to site staff and construction teams.

·         Identify and resolve technical issues during construction.

·         Ensure compliance with engineering standards and construction best practices.

3.      Quality Assurance & Compliance

·         Ensure construction activities meet required quality standards and specifications.

·         Ensure compliance with safety regulations, environmental standards, and company policies.

Maintain proper documentation and site reports.

·         Conduct site inspections and quality control checks regularly.

4.      Project Coordination

·         Collaborate with project managers, consultants, architects, and engineers.

·         Monitor project schedules and coordinate resources to meet deadlines.

·         Assist in planning construction activities and resource allocation.

·         Report project progress and challenges to senior management.

 

5.      Health & Safety Management

·         Implement and monitor workplace health and safety procedures.

·         Ensure workers comply with safety regulations and use protective equipment.

·         Conduct safety briefings and risk assessments before site operations.

6.      Leadership & Team Development

·         Supervise site engineers, technicians, and construction workers.

·         Provide training and guidance to junior engineering staff.

·         Promote teamwork, discipline, and high performance within the site team.

About You

Education:

·         Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or related field.

Professional engineering certification is an advantage.

Experience:

·         Minimum of Ten years of relevant experience in construction or civil engineering projects. Experience in site supervision and project implementation required.
