 Position Summary

The Cleaner at GS Group Uganda executes a variety of daily cleaning activities to ensure our facilities remains sterile, welcoming, and safe for all employees and visitors. The ideal candidate is autonomous, physically fit, and strictly adheres to health and safety regulations.

 Major Duties & Responsibilities

1. Floor & Surface Maintenance

·       Sweep, mop, and vacuum all types of floors daily.

·       Dust ceilings, light fixtures, blinds, and vents.

·       Polish furniture, mirrors, and glass windows.

·       Execute deep-cleaning projects like floor waxing or carpet shampooing.

2. Sanitation & Waste Management

·       Scrub and disinfect toilets, sinks, and fixtures.

·       Empty trash bins and replace liners consistently.

·       Sanitize high-touch surfaces like doorknobs and tabletops.

·       Manage waste disposal according to recycling rules.

3. Inventory & Facility Reporting

·       Restock hand soap, toilet paper, and towels.

·       Maintain and clean assigned janitorial equipment.

·       Monitor cleaning solution inventory levels regularly.

·       Report building damage or structural leaks to management.

Perform any additional related tasks as assigned by supervisors or management.

 About You

Education & Experience

·       UACE, high school diploma or equivalent qualification.

·       Proven experience in commercial or residential cleaning.

·       Strong physical stamina for lifting and standing.

·       Knowledge of standard chemical cleaning mixtures.

·       Experience operating industrial buffers or steam cleaners.

·       Strong time-management and punctual habits.

·       Ability to work independently with minimal guidance.

·       Safety awareness and compliance.

·       Attention to detail.

·       Problem‑solving.

·       Reliability and professionalism.
