Job Description – Senior Accountant

Position: Senior Accountant

Location: Juba, South Sudan

Key Responsibilities

Financial reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with accounting standards.

Budget management: Develop, monitor, and control budgets to ensure cost efficiency.

Accounts supervision: Oversee accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and reconciliations.

Compliance: Ensure adherence to tax laws, statutory requirements, and company policies.

Audit support: Coordinate with external auditors and provide necessary documentation.

Team leadership: Mentor junior accountants and support finance team development.

Strategic input: Provide financial insights to management for decision-making and project planning.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/ACCA preferred).

Experience: Minimum 5 years in accounting, with at least 2 years in a senior role.

Skills: Strong knowledge of IFRS, tax regulations, and construction industry accounting.

Technical proficiency: Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with accounting software.
