Position Summary
The Project Coordinator will support the Project Managers in coordinating the implementation of the road construction project and ensuring effective communication between project management, engineering disciplines, contractors, consultants, and other stakeholders. The position will coordinate schedules, technical submissions, documentation, meetings, action points, progress information, and project follow-up activities.
Major Duties & Responsibilities
1. Project Coordination and Planning
· Coordinate project activities among the Project Manager, engineering teams, contractor, consultant, and other stakeholders.
· Track project work plans, schedules, milestones, submissions, approvals, and outstanding actions.
· Follow up project deliverables and ensure responsible teams provide required information within agreed timelines.
· Support the Project Manager in monitoring overall project implementation.
2. Technical and Construction Coordination
· Coordinate technical inputs from Highway, Materials, Geotechnical, Hydrology, Structural, Survey, Site, and other project teams.
· Follow up construction progress and identify technical, resource, or coordination issues requiring management attention.
· Coordinate technical submissions, drawings, method statements, inspection requests, and approvals.
· Assist in ensuring that project teams work from current approved information and documentation.
3. Documentation and Document Control
· Maintain project correspondence, technical submissions, reports, registers, meeting minutes, and other project records.
· Track document submissions, comments, approvals, revisions, and responses between project parties.
· Maintain action trackers, approval trackers, drawing registers, and other project coordination records.
· Ensure project information is properly organized and readily available to authorized project personnel.
4. Meetings and Stakeholder Coordination
· Organize project meetings, prepare agendas, circulate relevant documents, and record minutes.
· Follow up decisions, responsibilities, deadlines, and outstanding issues arising from meetings.
· Coordinate communication with the Client, Consultant, Contractor, and project stakeholders as directed by the Project Manager.
· Support preparation of presentations and project status updates.
5. Reporting and Monitoring
· Collect project progress information from technical and site teams.
· Support preparation of weekly and monthly project progress reports.
· Monitor planned versus actual progress and highlight delays, risks, and outstanding approvals.
· Provide timely coordination updates to the Project Manager.
About You
Education
· Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related field.
Experience
· 15-20 years of relevant professional experience, with substantial experience in road/highway construction projects.
· Demonstrated experience coordinating multidisciplinary engineering and construction teams on road or infrastructure projects.
· Strong experience in project documentation, reporting, scheduling, technical coordination, and stakeholder communication.
