Position Summary
The Office Engineer will provide technical, planning, documentation, reporting, and coordination support for the road construction project. The position will maintain accurate project records and coordinate technical information between the Project Manager, engineering teams, site teams, Contractor, Consultant, and Client.
Major Duties & Responsibilities
1. Technical Documentation and Control
· Maintain project drawings, specifications, correspondence, technical submissions, reports, registers, and records.
· Control document submissions, revisions, approvals, comments, and distribution.
· Maintain drawing registers, technical submission registers, correspondence registers, and approval trackers.
· Ensure project documents are properly filed and current approved information is available to relevant teams.
2. Planning and Progress Monitoring
· Collect daily and weekly progress information from site and technical teams.
· Support preparation and updating of construction schedules and progress tracking tools.
· Monitor planned versus actual progress and highlight delays or outstanding activities.
· Support the Project Manager and Project Coordinator in project planning and follow-up.
3. Measurement and Commercial Support
· Compile information required for quantity measurement, progress valuation, variations, and claims.
· Coordinate technical and site information required for payment applications.
· Maintain records of completed works, quantities, approvals, and supporting documentation.
· Coordinate with Quantity Surveyor and Contract Engineer on project records.
4. Reporting and Meetings
· Support preparation of weekly, monthly, and management project reports.
· Prepare meeting agendas, minutes, action trackers, and follow-up records.
· Compile information from technical disciplines and site teams for project reporting.
· Track outstanding submissions, approvals, decisions, and corrective actions.
5. Coordination and Communication
· Coordinate technical information between the Project Manager, engineers, Contractor, Consultant, and Client.
· Follow up required responses and approvals within agreed timelines.
· Support project correspondence and maintain proper communication records.
· Provide timely administrative and technical support to the project management team.
About You
Education
· Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
Experience
· Minimum 10 years of relevant professional experience in road/highway construction project administration or engineering.
· Demonstrated experience in technical documentation, project reporting, construction records, scheduling support, and coordination.
· Good understanding of road construction activities, drawings, specifications, quantities, and project reporting requirements.
