Position Summary
The Marketing Manager is responsible for developing and implementing marketing and business development strategies that promote the Company's construction services, engineering solutions, heavy equipment, industrial plants, and construction materials. The role focuses on identifying new business opportunities, strengthening client relationships, increasing brand visibility, driving sales, and supporting tender and proposal activities. The Marketing Manager will work closely with senior management and operational teams to expand the Company's market share and achieve sustainable business growth.
Major Duties & Responsibilities
1. Marketing Strategy and Business Development
- Develop and implement marketing strategies aligned with the Company's business objectives.
- Identify new market opportunities within the construction, infrastructure, mining, industrial, and real estate sectors.
- Develop business development plans to increase revenue and market share.
- Monitor industry trends, customer needs, and competitor activities.
2. Sales and Marketing of Construction Materials
- Promote and market the Company's construction materials, including sand, aggregates, murram, ready-mix concrete, crushed stone, and other quarry products.
- Develop sales strategies to increase demand for construction materials across commercial and infrastructure projects.
- Build and maintain relationships with contractors, developers, government agencies, NGOs, UN organizations, suppliers, and individual customers.
- Coordinate with production, quarry, batching plant, and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery and customer satisfaction.
3. Marketing of Construction Services and Equipment
- Promote the Company's construction and engineering services.
- Market equipment rental services and the Company's fleet of heavy construction machinery.
- Promote the Company's crusher plants, asphalt plants, concrete batching plants, and other industrial facilities.
- Develop marketing campaigns highlighting the Company's technical capabilities and completed projects.
4. Client Relationship Management
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients.
- Conduct client meetings, presentations, and site visits.
- Respond to customer inquiries and prepare quotations in coordination with technical and commercial teams.
- Maintain an up-to-date client database and sales pipeline.
5. Tendering and Proposal Support
- Identify upcoming tenders and business opportunities.
- Support the preparation of technical and commercial proposals.
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, finance, and project teams during bid preparation.
- Participate in client negotiations and contract discussions.
6. Digital Marketing and Brand Management
- Manage the Company's website, social media platforms, and digital marketing campaigns.
- Prepare brochures, company profiles, promotional materials, newsletters, and presentations.
- Organize exhibitions, trade fairs, product launches, and networking events.
- Ensure consistent corporate branding across all marketing channels.
7. Market Research and Reporting
- Conduct market research on construction services, construction materials, heavy equipment, and industry developments.
- Analyze sales performance and customer trends.
- Prepare monthly marketing and business development reports.
- Recommend strategies to improve sales performance and customer satisfaction.
8. Leadership and Team Management
- Lead and supervise the marketing and business development team.
- Set departmental objectives and monitor performance.
- Coach and mentor team members to improve effectiveness.
- Promote collaboration across marketing, operations, engineering, production, procurement, and finance teams.
9. Compliance and Other Responsibilities
- Ensure all marketing activities comply with company policies and applicable regulations.
- Maintain confidentiality of commercial and client information.
- Perform any other duties assigned by Management.
About You
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- MBA or other relevant postgraduate qualification is an added advantage.
- Professional certification in Marketing or Business Development is desirable.
Experience
- Minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in marketing and business development.
- At least 5 years in a managerial role.
- Proven experience in the construction, engineering, building materials, quarry, concrete production, heavy equipment, or infrastructure sectors.
- Strong knowledge of construction materials, including sand, aggregates, murram, ready-mix concrete, asphalt, and quarry products.
- Experience in tendering, contract acquisition, key account management, and strategic sales planning is highly desirable.
