 Position Summary

Excavator Operator, is responsible for operating and maintaining the excavating equipment to perform earthworks, trenching, grading & related tasks.

 Major Duties & Responsibilities

1.      Equipment operation

·        Operate the excavator to dig, load, grade and move earth, rock & other materials.

·        Perform trenching, backfilling, site preparation & levelling in accordance to the requirement.

·        Ensure precise operation by following site plan, grade and safety instructions.

 2.      Safety Compliances

·        Follow all health, safety and environmental regulations traffic management & equipment operating guidelines.

·        Conduct pre-operational checks & report defects immediately.

·        Follow proper lifting and excavation practices to avoid accidents.

3.      Maintenance and care

·        Perform routine inspections, cleaning & minor maintenance of the machine.

·        Monitor oil, fuel and fluid levels, report any defect or servicing needs.

·        Ensure equipment is safely parked, cleaned and secured after operation.

 4.      Site coordination

·        Work under the direction of the site engineer, foreman, or supervisor.

·        Cooperate with ground workers, truck drivers and other operators on the site.

·        Assist in loading & unloading of materials or equipment when needed.

 About You

Education & Experience

·        Valid national driver’s license for the appropriate vehicle/machinery class.

·        Minimum 7+ years of professional driving experience.

·        Proven work experience as Excavator Operator.

·        Valid operating license for the machine

·        Knowledge of excavating techniques, soil type and safe working practices.

·        Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to details.

·        Physical fitness.

·        Awareness of site hazards.
