The Senior Quantity Surveyor acts as a trusted advisor to clients, project managers, and stakeholders, bringing decades of insight to complex commercial decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Cost Management & Estimation
- Prepare detailed cost estimates, bills of quantities, and tender documents.
- Conduct feasibility studies and provide accurate financial forecasts.
- Monitor project costs, cash flow, and value engineering opportunities.
- Contract Administration
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts with clients, contractors, and suppliers.
- Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and contractual requirements.
- Manage claims, variations, and dispute resolution processes.
- Project Oversight
- Lead cost control and commercial management across multiple projects.
- Provide strategic advice on procurement methods and risk allocation.
- Oversee final account settlements and project close-out.
- Leadership & Mentorship
- Guide and mentor junior quantity surveyors and project staff.
- Share best practices and industry knowledge gained over 20 years.
- Foster a culture of integrity, precision, and continuous improvement.
- Stakeholder Engagement
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and clients.
- Present financial reports and recommendations to senior management.
- Build long-term relationships based on trust and professional credibility.
