Job Summary

The Senior Quantity Surveyor is a seasoned professional responsible for managing all aspects of cost estimation, contract administration, and financial control for large-scale construction projects. With 20 years of experience, this role combines deep technical expertise with strategic leadership, ensuring projects are delivered within budget, aligned with contractual obligations, and optimized for value. The Senior Quantity Surveyor acts as a trusted advisor to clients, project managers, and stakeholders, bringing decades of insight to complex commercial decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Cost Management & Estimation
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates, bills of quantities, and tender documents.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and provide accurate financial forecasts.
  • Monitor project costs, cash flow, and value engineering opportunities.
• Contract Administration
  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts with clients, contractors, and suppliers.
  • Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and contractual requirements.
  • Manage claims, variations, and dispute resolution processes.
• Project Oversight
  • Lead cost control and commercial management across multiple projects.
  • Provide strategic advice on procurement methods and risk allocation.
  • Oversee final account settlements and project close-out.
• Leadership & Mentorship
  • Guide and mentor junior quantity surveyors and project staff.
  • Share best practices and industry knowledge gained over 20 years.
  • Foster a culture of integrity, precision, and continuous improvement.
• Stakeholder Engagement
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and clients.
  • Present financial reports and recommendations to senior management.
  • Build long-term relationships based on trust and professional credibility.
