Position Summary
The HR & Administration Manager is responsible for leading and managing all human resource and administrative functions of the organization. The role ensures effective implementation of HR strategies, policies, and procedures, including talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, compensation and benefits, and compliance with labor laws. The position also oversees general administration services to ensure smooth organizational operations and a productive working environment.
Major Duties & Responsibilities
1. Human Resource Management
· Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with organizational goals.
· Manage recruitment, selection, onboarding, and retention processes.
· Oversee performance management systems and employee appraisal processes.
· Ensure effective employee relations and conflict resolution.
2. Policy Development & Compliance
· Develop, review, and implement HR policies and procedures.
· Ensure compliance with Ethiopian labor laws and organizational regulations.
· Maintain up-to-date employee records and HR documentation.
· Advise management on HR-related legal and compliance matters.
3. Compensation & Benefits Management
· Oversee payroll preparation and salary administration.
· Manage employee benefits, compensation structures, and reward systems.
· Conduct salary benchmarking and job evaluations.
· Ensure timely and accurate payroll processing.
4. Training & Development
· Identify training needs and develop staff development programs.
· Coordinate capacity-building and professional development initiatives.
· Support succession planning and leadership development.
5. Administration Management
· Oversee office administration, facilities, and logistics management.
· Ensure efficient procurement of office supplies and services.
· Manage transport, asset control, and general office operations.
· Supervise administrative staff and support services.
6. Leadership & Reporting
· Lead HR and administrative teams with strong managerial oversight.
· Provide regular HR reports and workforce analytics to senior management.
· Support organizational change management initiatives.
About You
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Management
or related field.
Experience:
· Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience in Human Resources and Administration. Proven experience in HR management roles.
· Experience in large organizations, corporate or NGO sectors preferred.
