Position Summary
The Crusher and Asphalt Plant Manager is responsible for overseeing the operation, production, and maintenance of crushing and asphalt plant facilities. The role ensures efficient production of aggregates and asphalt in compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations. The Manager will coordinate plant activities, manage resources, and ensure a continuous supply of materials to support construction and road projects.
Major Duties & Responsibilities
1. Plant Operations Management
• Oversee daily operations of the crusher and asphalt plant.
• Plan and schedule production to meet project demands.
• Ensure optimal utilization of plant capacity and resources.
2. Production and Quality Control
• Ensure production of aggregates and asphalt meets required specifications.
• Monitor mix designs, production processes, and output quality.
• Conduct regular quality checks and ensure consistency in production.
3. Equipment and Maintenance
• Supervise maintenance and servicing of plant machinery and equipment.
• Ensure timely troubleshooting and repair of breakdowns.
• Maintain records of equipment performance and maintenance schedules.
4. Material and Inventory Management
• Monitor raw materials such as bitumen, aggregates, and fuel.
• Coordinate with procurement to ensure uninterrupted supply.
• Ensure proper storage and handling of materials.
5. Health, Safety, and Environmental Compliance
• Enforce strict adherence to health and safety standards.
• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and emissions standards.
• Promote safe working practices across plant operations.
6. Cost and Performance Management
• Monitor operational costs and optimize production efficiency.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production reports.
• Identify areas for cost reduction and process improvement.
7. Leadership and Team Management
• Lead and supervise plant operators, technicians, and support staff.
• Provide training, guidance, and performance management.
• Ensure high levels of productivity, discipline, and teamwork.
About You
Education
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• Technical certification in plant operations is an advantage.
Experience
• 10–15 years of experience in crusher and asphalt plant operations.
• At least 5 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of asphalt mix design, crushing processes, and plant maintenance.
