Position Summary

The Senior Structural Engineer is responsible for performing advanced structural design, analysis, and technical support for construction projects. The role focuses on ensuring that all structural elements are designed and executed in accordance with engineering standards, safety requirements, and project specifications. The position involves close collaboration with project teams to deliver efficient, safe, and high-quality structural solutions.

Major Duties & Responsibilities

1. Structural Design & Analysis

• Perform detailed structural design and analysis for buildings and infrastructure projects.

• Prepare structural calculations, drawings, and design reports.

• Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and project requirements.

• Review and verify structural integrity, stability, and safety of designs.

2. Technical Support

• Provide technical support to site engineers and construction teams.

• Review shop drawings, bar bending schedules, and material submittals.

• Assist in resolving structural issues during construction.

• Ensure proper interpretation and implementation of structural drawings.

3. Site Coordination

• Coordinate with site teams to ensure structural works are executed correctly.

• Conduct site visits to monitor structural activities and provide technical input.

• Assist in ensuring work progress aligns with structural design intent.

• Communicate technical clarifications to contractors and site staff.

 4. Quality Assurance & Compliance

• Ensure all structural works meet required quality standards and specifications.

• Participate in inspections and quality control processes.

• Verify materials and workmanship comply with approved standards.

• Maintain proper technical documentation and reports.

5. Problem Solving & Design Review

Identify design discrepancies and propose practical solutions.

• Conduct structural assessments and modifications when required.

• Support value engineering initiatives for cost-effective solutions.

• Assist in reviewing and improving existing structural designs.

About You

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering.

•   A master’s degree is an advantage.

Experience

• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in structural design and construction.

• Experience working on building and infrastructure projects.
