 Senior Auditor

Position Overview

The Senior Auditor will lead and oversee internal and external audit engagements within a manufacturing environment. With extensive experience and advanced qualifications, the role ensures compliance with international accounting standards, strengthens internal controls, and drives operational efficiency across complex production and supply chain processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Audit Leadership
    • Plan, execute, and supervise financial, operational, and compliance audits across multiple manufacturing sites.
    • Lead risk-based audit programs tailored to production, procurement, inventory, and distribution processes.
    • Provide strategic recommendations to senior management on improving internal controls and operational efficiency.
  • Financial Oversight
    • Review and validate financial statements in line with IFRS and GAAP.
    • Ensure accuracy of cost accounting, inventory valuation, and capital expenditure reporting.
    • Assess compliance with tax regulations and corporate governance requirements.
  • Risk Management
    • Identify, evaluate, and mitigate risks specific to manufacturing operations (e.g., supply chain disruptions, production inefficiencies, fraud).
    • Develop and implement risk-based audit methodologies.
  • Process Improvement
    • Recommend automation and digital solutions for audit processes.
    • Drive continuous improvement initiatives in financial reporting, compliance, and operational workflows.
  • Stakeholder Engagement

·         Present audit findings to executive leadership and board committees.

·         Collaborate with cross-functional teams including finance, operations, procurement, and compliance.

·         Mentor junior auditors and build audit team capability.

Qualifications

  • Education
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting (BA).
    • Master of Business Administration (MBA).
    • ACCA Certification (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants).
  • Experience
    • 15+ years of progressive audit experience in manufacturing firms.
    • Proven track record of leading audits in complex, multi-site operations.
    • Strong knowledge of IFRS, GAAP, and international auditing standards.
  • Skills
    • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Expertise in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar).
    • Strong leadership and communication abilities.
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
